![]() | about greyeyes ads... Hi, my name is Gabriel B. McBride, but I am better known on the internet as greyeyesgabriel. I would like to introduce you to my advertising network, greyeyes ads. Sometime around late 2007, early 2008, I began an advertising website called greyeyesgabriel front door and wanted to offer a better advertising solution for the average person. After a year of working on the website I just wasn't satisfied with what it offered and began researching and developing a better solution. What came out of that research was greyeyes ads; a viral, opt-in advertising solution. I can't stand spam and don't see what benefit it can have to utilize such actions; so we have a subscriber based system that allows you to post your ads to over 150 categories and subcategories. We offer RSS subscription by email, or reader hosted through Google feedburner, custom widgets hosted through Widgetbox, a permalink on our advertising blog hosted through Tumblr, mobile compatibility for easy viewing on your smartphone, a comment system to receive feedback on your advertisements, and did we mention we are social? You heard that right, greyeyes ads is socially accepted; we have accounts on many of the major social networks, and our widgets are social network friendly. I believe that the most basic, popular, and effective advertising is "word of mouth" or viral advertising. We do it naturally, we find something we like and we want to share it with our friends and family; I believe that this ads value to greyeyes ads. Advertising in the real world doesn't cost you per viewing or per reading; you pay for the space that you are placing your ad into; and I believe that online advertising should work the same way. No keyword bidding, no pay per click or pay per impression here; just plain pay per post, base rate advertising here. While I can't say that our prices will remain this low forever, I believe it is the best way to provide value as we grow; which is also why I choose not to use filters and auto responders. While I believe that auto responders and filters have their place; I also believe that they can diminish the value of a service. Sometimes people can find ways to trick the filters, leading to advertisements of a lower standard, or even in violation of the policies put in place to safeguard against such things. That is why I have the human element involved in greyeyes ads. Every ad submitted goes through a verification process and approval before it is published; in this regard we are able to effectively control spam, keep unwanted advertising from ever entering the system, and ad value to our company. While we do allow affiliates to post their links to our system; we do want to remind you that we aim to offer variety and duplicate postings will not be accepted in succession; this would be considered spamming and a violation of our policies resulting in forfeiture of submission processing fee. The best way to know if your links have already been posted by someone else is to subscribe to the feeds that you submit your ads to, you might even find something useful to you. |
